Flexible Permissions Management

NGAGE allows you to create any number of ‘Super Users’ who will have visibility of NGAGE analytics in relation to your whole Microsoft Teams environment. Otherwise, a user will only see data relating to teams of which they are an Owner .  Note that Power BI itself provides multiple features for customizing, exporting and sharing reports with any number of audiences.

Advanced Product Architecture

NGAGE for Microsoft Teams is hosted securely in your own Azure subscription. It uses several of Azure’s PaaS (Platform as a Service) features to capture and process data about your environment and how it is being used. NGAGE uses Azure Functions to sync with Azure Active Directory and to maintain a definition of your Teams environment. Behavioral data is captured via the Graph API with Azure Service Bus being used to provide virtually unlimited messaging scalability and resilience. Data is processed and stored in an Azure SQL Data Warehouse. This is consumed by a Tabular Cube which can be hosted in Power BI Premium or Azure Analysis Services. NGAGE also leverages DevOps pipelines and Azure Lighthouse to ensure smooth product deployment and ongoing support.

Richly Visual Reporting

NGAGE for Microsoft Teams ships with two Power BI Reporting Suites. The ‘master’ suite provides rich behavioral and environmental analytics across all Teams and all features including administrative interventions. The NGAGE for Team Owners suite is restricted to in-Channel behaviors and automatically scoped to the relevant teams.

As they can be filtered to any date range, any type of user, any feature and any Team, these out-of- the-box reports will probably deliver on > 90% of your use cases.

And when they don’t it’s almost as simple to create and share the exact custom reports you need. Because Microsoft Power BI is an intuitive, easy-to-learn reporting and publishing tool. And because NGAGE’s ‘Cube’ contains hundreds of pre-built calculations that you can simply ‘drag and drop’ to create the report you want.

NGAGE stores data on your cloud tenant efficiently, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. By following Azure best practices, it scales down plans to save costs, and allows users to configure and decide what data to track based on their needs.

Comprehensive Data Processing and Reporting

NGAGE uses the star schema model for its ETL process, optimizing data cleaning and organization for tabular cubes. This flexible ETL runs independently on integration services, allowing hosting on VMs or serverless environments, and the cubes can be hosted in analysis services, making them accessible to any reporting tools.
